The booster cylinder of the integrated drilling-and-splitting rock-splitting equipment is the core power component, responsible for converting low-pressure hydraulic fluid into ultra-high-pressure thrust to drive the expansion of the splitting wedges, thereby achieving static rock fragmentation.

I. Core Role

Pressure Amplification: The low-pressure oil at 20–30 MPa supplied by the power unit is pressurized to an ultra-high pressure of 120–180 MPa through an area-difference mechanism.

Output splitting force: generates a thrust of 300–600 tons or even higher, driving the wedge assembly of the splitting head to expand outward and fracture the rock.

Precise control: progressive pressure release ensures that the rock fractures along the predetermined direction, preventing excessive fragmentation.

II. Structural Composition

Cylinder barrel

Manufactured via integral forging from high-strength alloy seamless steel tubing, offering superior pressure resistance, blast protection, and deformation prevention.

Precision internal honing combined with hard chrome plating delivers exceptional surface finish, superior wear resistance and scratch protection, and extended seal life.

Pressurized piston / plunger

Typically, a multi-stage plunger design (two- or three-stage boosting) is employed, leveraging the ratio of large-to-small piston areas to achieve pressure amplification.

Material: High-strength chromium-molybdenum steel such as 42CrMo, quenched and tempered, with a hard-chrome-plated surface.

Piston rod

High rigidity and high strength, with a hard chrome plating on the surface (thickness ≥ 0.03 mm), offering excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance.

Sealing System (Critical)

Employ a combined sealing arrangement: primary seal (polyurethane/fluororubber) + guide ring + dust seal.

Designed to withstand ultra-high pressure, high-frequency operation, and harsh dusty conditions, with protection against internal and external leakage.

Front and rear covers

Forged steel construction, high-strength bolted connections, and integrated oil ports, vent valves, and cushioning mechanisms.

The high-pressure chamber employs spherical or conical sealing to ensure reliable high-pressure performance.

Technical Features

Multi-stage pressurization: The mainstream configurations are two-stage or three-stage, with pressure progressively amplified at each stage, resulting in stable thrust and minimal shock.

High-strength materials: forged steel for critical components, combined with heat treatment and hard chrome plating, to withstand the severe impact and high-dust conditions typical of mining environments.

High-efficiency sealing: proprietary ultra-high-pressure seals that offer long service life, low failure rates, and easy maintenance.

Compact design: plunger-type configuration with a small diameter (compatible with 90/110/150 mm boreholes), long stroke, and high output force.
